The (Museum für Kunst & Gewerbe — MK&G) is one of the most important museums of applied arts in Europe. Its collection includes artifacts from the ancient world to the present and encompasses 4000 years of European, Islamic and Asian cultures.
The museum was opened in 1877 and is located in a neo-renaissance palace. Inside, you’ll find several floors on which  arts and crafts, interior design and photography from Europe, the Middle East and Asia are displayed. The permanent collection spans all time periods from the ancient world to the present day, and includes changing exhibitions about modern and contemporary culture.
