Prerequisites

The vehicle must be registered or registered in Hamburg.

For external vehicles, only replacement documents will be issued as part of a transfer to Hamburg. The owner then needs a clearance certificate from the previous licensing authority.

Documents required

• a valid identity card or an electronic residence permit (eAT) or passport with current confirmation of registration
• a declaration of consent from all legal guardians in the case of persons who are not fully legally competent
• for legal entities, proof of authority to act (e.g. extract from the commercial register or extract from the association register for associations)
• Registration certificate part II (vehicle registration document),
• Valid test certificate for general inspection (HU),
• a declaration of transfer from the former holder (seller) confirming that the document was handed over to the loser (buyer) before the loss
• However, if no registration certificate (consisting of Part I and Part II) has been issued, the vehicle registration document must be presented.

• Only possible if the owner (managing director of the company in the case of company vehicles) has previously made an affidavit to a notary and the authorized representative can present this
• Power of attorney in original with legible color copy of the principal's ID card
• original ID card of the authorized representative

Appointment booking

1. Visit the website for booking an appointment (see link below) and select the service theft of vehicle documents or loss of vehicle documents under the service group Admission, private customers.
2. Use the location selection to display appointments at a specific location.
3. After selecting the location, use the calendar displayed to select a free appointment (date and time).
4. Now enter your name and your e-mail address for booking.
5. You will receive an email. Please confirm the appointment.

Please bring the appointment confirmation that you will receive with you to the appointment.

Processing time

The exhibition can take place immediately upon submission of the complete documents.

Fees

The fees range from EUR 10.20 to EUR 50. If necessary, the costs for the acceptance of an insurance on oath may be added instead of EUR 30.70. The exact amount of the fee can only be determined on site by submitting the complete documents. The basis for the fee level is the fee schedule for measures in road traffic (GebOSt).
