An anniversary is the celebration of a special wedding anniversary or birthday that you celebrate after a set number of years. On these occasions, you can be honored by a public body.
You can receive a congratulatory letter from the First Mayor on your 90th birthday and your 101st to 104th birthday. You can receive a congratulatory letter from the Federal President on your 100th, 105th and every subsequent birthday.
On these anniversaries of your marriage or registered civil partnership you can receive the following honours:
- 50 and 60 years: Congratulatory letter from the First Mayor and the First Mayoress as well as wedding anniversary medal
- 65, 70, 75 years: Congratulatory letters from the First Mayor and the Federal President
- 80 years: Congratulatory letter from the Federal President
