Prerequisites
- There are no animal welfare concerns.
- The responsible persons and their deputies have the necessary expertise
- You or the business owner have the necessary personal and financial reliability.
- The available premises and facilities are suitable for keeping the animals in a species-appropriate manner.
Documents required
- Application for permission under the Animal Welfare Act
- Submission of a certificate of good conduct for submission to an authority, not older than 6 months
- Information from the Central Trade Register, not older than 6 months
Please provide the following information in your application:
- planned activities
- Place of business (business address)
- Owner of the business (name, address, date and place of birth)
- Information about the person responsible for the activities, if this person is not the same as the respective business owner (name, address, date and place of birth)
- Species and respective numbers of animals to be kept
Please submit the following documents with your application:
- Evidence of the reliability of the business owner
- Evidence of the expertise and reliability of the responsible person
- Site plan of the buildings and areas showing the use as well as rental or lease agreement or declaration of ownership
Please note
The permit applies only to the species and maximum number of animals with which the activity is to be carried out, as well as to the premises and facilities specified in the application. A permit issued based on incorrect information is invalid and can be revoked at any time.
Obtain all necessary building permits for the buildings you intend to use from the relevant building authority before submitting an application under the Animal Welfare Act.
Deadlines
You need permission before you can move, import or rehome the animals.
