You can receive care assistance from the social welfare agency if you cannot adequately cover the necessary care costs from your own resources. Reasons for your need for help may be physical, cognitive or psychological impairments or health-related problems that you cannot manage independently.
As a person in need of care at care level 1, the care assistance for you includes the following services:
- approval of nursing aids
- measures to improve the living environment
- a relief amount
- digital care applications and additional support in the use of digital care applications
As a person in need of care at care level 2, 3, 4 or 5, you can apply for the following benefits:
- (partially) inpatient care
- short-term care
- a relief amount
- home care in the form of
- care allowance
- home care assistance
- respite care
- nursing aids
- measures to improve the living environment
- digital care applications and additional support in the use of digital care applications.
You may be eligible for care assistance if you
- are not insured for nursing care or
- are not entitled to benefits from nursing care insurance, or
- Care insurance benefits are not sufficient to cover your necessary care needs,
