Apply for sibling discount for childcare facility

If several of your children attend a daycare facility or are looked after in child day care at the same time, you can apply for a reduction in the parental contribution.

Detailed description

If you put your child in daycare, costs are incurred. Depending on the type and extent of the care you require for your child, you may have to pay a certain proportion of the care costs yourself (parental contribution). If you have several children and they are looked after at the same time in a daycare center, child day care or as part of a school's all-day care and you have to pay such a parental contribution, you can apply for a reduction in the parental contribution.

  • You must pay a parental contribution for this care

Documents required

Documents showing your family ties and the birth dates of your children (e.g. birth certificates)

Please note

Children aged three and over who are not yet enrolled in school and who receive integration assistance due to a (threatened) disability are not taken into account in the sibling rule.

  • You submit your application together with the necessary documents to the responsible authority.
  • The responsible authority will examine your application and, if necessary, request any missing documents or information from you.
  • You will receive a written notice with the decision regarding the parental contributions you have to pay.
